Martina Voss-Tecklenburg has been appointed the successor of Béatrice von Siebenthal as the new national team coach of Switzerland. Her current employer, the Frauenbundesliga outfit, FF USV Jena, has agreed to break the contract with the 44 year old with immediate effect. She will start at her new post on February 5th.

This was all possible because Voss-Tecklenburg had a clause in her contract with Jena, regarding possible job offers for national teams.

But that's not all she will be doing for the Swiss Football Association, as she will be responsible for the management of Credit Suisse Football Academy for Girls, which von Siebenthal has managed in recent years.

A successor for Jena has not been found yet.
