- One of the best defense in the league
wSoccerNews teamed up with Martin Sjögren, the former coach of LdB Malmö, to analyze the teams of the Damallsvenskan for the season. Below you can find what Martin had to say about Göteborg.

Strengths: A solid team with many experienced players that this year have a little bit more edge with the signing of American U23 international Christen Press. Göteborg have one of the best defense in the league - they always let very few goals in.

Weaknesses: Will this team be good enough compared to the other top teams? The opponents that are highly ranked have done more and better signings in comparison with what Göteborg have. There is also questionable if the group of players really has got the urging drive to do what it takes to win?

Key Players: Jane Törnqvist, Johanna Almgren (injured at the moment) and Christen Press

Who will be fun to watch and why: Christen Press will add what the team have been missing the last couple of seasons - speed in attacking position. It will be interesting to see how this affects the teams style of playing.

Potential starting line-up in the beginning of the season: 4-4-2 Kristin Hammarström - Marlene Sjöberg, Stina Segerström, Jane Törnqvist, Catrin Johansson - Anna Ahlstrand, Lisa Ek, Anita Asante, Ingrid Wells - Christen Press, Sara Lindén
